This is for anyone interested in developing their wellbeing through the power of the breath. In this workshop, we will deeply explore breathing and techniques from the Oxygen Advantage, which is a practice intended to increase CO2 for better oxygen delivery to cells. We will look at how this can be woven into your yoga practice, and also at other breathing techniques to optimise lung capacity and immune response. 

 Expect to challenge yourself and go deep. This is not just an asana practice. Although there will be elements of movement, much of the focus will be on the nervous system, how your breathing affects it, and how you can use this to your advantage. 

You will come away with knowledge to take into your daily lives, along with breathing techniques that will energise or relax you, depending on what you need.

You will have your own spacious spot to immerse yourself in this afternoon with the comfort of lots of props, immersive music and kind company. We will open the afternoon with a talk on the breath and the opportunity to try some effective exercises encompassing mindfulness and breathwork better known as Pranayama.

After spending time connecting with our own breath, we will put this together with an opening yoga sequence to help oxygenate our cells, eliminate organ and joint compression, whilst regulating our nervous system for a deeply embodied experience. To close, we will spend time in stillness as we enjoy a relaxing a breath focused Yoga Nidra.

Openness is encouraged but also respected so please feel invited to stay for some reflective conversations and comforting warm tea afterwards.

No experience necessary. All levels are very welcome.
